Moscow-Mediterranean: Café Imperial embarks on a culinary journey
28 July 2026

From August 1st to 31st, 2026, the Café Imperial at the Moscow Marriott Imperial Plaza Hotel will offer a special set menu created as part of the "5 Stars" festival from Where to Travel. The culinary journey, titled "Moscow - Mediterranean", was created by the project's brand chef, Abdessattar Zitouni.

The concept of the set is "Four steps to a Mediterranean August in Moscow." This is a story of flavor contrasts, where freshness meets sweetness, a light, seaside atmosphere meets vibrant spice, and sophisticated simplicity meets a rich finish.

The set opens with the "Mediterranean Garden" cocktail (1,500 rubles)—a twist on the beloved classic, the Margarita, with a touch of salt on the rim—setting the adventurous mood of travel. It's paired with a delicate pink shrimp carpaccio with tropical salsa: the sweetness of mango and dragon fruit offsets the sea freshness, adding a vibrant acidity and piquancy (2,500 rubles). And then comes the main course: veal mignon with stewed pear and burnt Romano cheese (3,500 rubles). The sweetness and subtle bitterness perfectly balance the flavors of the tender meat with creamy mascarpone. The final touch is vanilla mousse with chocolate ganache, baked pear, and blue cheese (1,500 rubles). Pastry chef Anna Rusetskaya seems to have managed to combine August warmth, Italian delicacy, and even a touch of daring. The full set costs 7,200 rubles.
